Serrated Auger

Equipped with a robust 17.5-inch serrated auger made from 3/16" AR400 alloy steel, the SnowBear SB-series is built to handle frozen snow piles. The auger's base features a heavy-wall 2-7/8" tube that ensures consistent performance without deformation, quickly drawing in snow. A quick-change shear bolt adds protection to the drivetrain in case of jams.

 
4-Blade Open Center Fan

This model uses a 24-inch diameter, 4-blade fan with an open center design. The fan boasts a blade tip speed of 3,393 ft./min and a 6.75-inch depth, ideal for clearing heavy snow. Constructed from 5/16" steel and weighing 74 lbs, this fan is built to withstand ice chunks and keep moving smoothly. Dynamically balanced to minimize vibration, it ensures steady performance and long bearing life.

 
Cast Iron Oil Bath Gearbox

The SnowBear SB-series is powered by a right-angle oil bath gearbox, designed for durability. Sealed and made of cast iron, it houses bevel gears that are precisely machined and constantly lubricated with oil for extended use.

 
#60 Roller Chain Transmission

Power moves from the gearbox to the auger through a sturdy #60 chain and sprocket system, which includes an easy-to-adjust chain tensioning mechanism. This solid construction ensures the right speed ratio between the auger and fan, maximizing torque and simplifying maintenance.

 
Robust Discharge Chute

The SnowBear SB-series features a 9-inch diameter discharge chute made of 1/8" thick steel, lined with high-density polyethylene to keep snow moving smoothly. The chute's arch design helps maximize the distance the snow is thrown.

 
Chute Rotation Options

The standard model includes a mechanical crank system with a positive gear and pinion crank design, allowing the chute to rotate 180 degrees with just three cranks—far more efficient than worm gear designs on competing models. Four roller bearings support the chute for easy, slip-free rotation. The crank can also be mounted to the tractor's ROPS for easier access.

Optional upgrade includes a hydraulic chute rotator/deflector for tractors with hydraulic remotes.

 
Bolt-On Hardened Steel Cutting Edge

The replaceable hardened steel cutting edge is bolted on for easy replacement, unlike soft, welded-in edges on some competing models. It scrapes snow clean to the pavement but is forgiving on stone driveways.

 
Bolt-On Replaceable Skid Shoes

Each snow blower comes standard with 6-inch wide, bolt-on skid shoes that are easy to replace and built to last.

 
High-Intensity LED Work Light Option

For added visibility, an optional high-intensity (1140 lumen) LED work light is available. Designed with a die-cast aluminum housing that doubles as a heat sink, the light offers a 90-degree flood pattern with 6 LED bulbs and stainless-steel mounting hardware.

 
Mount Type

The SB-series snow blowers attach to any Category 1 or 2 three-point hitch and are compatible with Category 1 quick hitches. If using a Category 2 tractor, a Cat-1 to Cat-2 bushing will be required. Note: These snow blowers are not compatible with a Category 2 Quick Hitch. Every purchase includes a 1-3/8" 6 spline slip clutch PTO shaft.
